Our submission titled ‘Addressing Drug Epidemic in Youth with a Blended Learning Approach’ detailed how the blended learning approach that we developed in conjunction with [The Robert Crown Center for Health Education](http://robertcrown.org/) (RCC) has helped stop the spread of the [drug epidemic](http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/chicago-battles-violent-crime-rise-heroin-epidemic-n649541) in local Chicago-land youth. We created two eLearning solutions that incorporated both RCC and state-specific curriculum requirements. The eLearning utilized unique, compelling and innovative creative treatments that engaged students and drove home important messages of substance abuse. These solutions support a variety of other formats, such as lesson plans, worksheets and workbooks, and facilitator guides that enable even more valuable learning opportunities. This blended learning approach is being used to create an immersive experience for not just the students, but also the teachers that conduct the lessons in their respective schools. [Studies show](http://robertcrown.org/Heroin/researchandeval.html) this approach has strengthened important aspects of students’ lives that can help resistance behavior to substance abuse, such as heroin and pain medication use. We are so proud of our team and grateful for our partnership with RCC, because what truly made these solutions unique is the partnership that made them possible.
